Picked up this and am looking for some input from the engine gurus amongst us.
The last bits I found in the sump, any ideas on their origins?
Lots of other projects and distractions about at the moment, but I took a bit of shed time today and have been picking up parts along the way.
A change to the rear is underway.![]()

Anyone?
Thanks bee utey I was hoping to hear from you .
What’s your opinion on the cam lobe wear?
And given the lightness of the compression ratio stamp how much do you think it’s been decked?
Thanks heaps, that’s the plan , just chuck it in and fingers crossed.
The bits I found in the sump are non metallic, any ideas, they seem to have been round.
Possibly chunks of a perished rocker cover gasket, chiselled out of the corners of the cover. The long bits were probably rescued before falling down the head drains.
Tossing up the idea of 6wd
