    V8 county ute

Nah, only joking re the 6wd.
New house purchase,so loading up new diff and spares in the tray and drive to the new place once I get my new radiator from Aussie Desert Coolers, should be early this week.
The ute project has taken a back seat lately as other things have taken priority.
But the good news is the new place has 3000 m2 of flat land , with about 80m2 of it screaming at me to put a shed on it.
Unlike the beautiful but steep country we are in now.

I picked up a new radiator today. Aussie Desert Coolers.
It took a bit longer than we first agreed but the fit is top notch.
    In she goes

A quick test for leaks and back to domestic duties.
Settle on new house tomorrow and first open for inspection on current one Saturday.

Wow 8 months later, house shift done , hopefully the last one before I go underground or in the ovenV8 county ute.
I’ve found a bit of time and motivation to get some Landy related stuff done.
Some not that photo worthy but flex shots are always interesting.

    Removed rear anti roll bar

    Removed shock top bolt

A bit of rubbing on the seat belt mounting bracket, that I can lose.

Full tuck, the tyres are 33” still undecided if I should risk 37’s or stick to my original plan of 35’s , any way a bump stop extension looks like it’s on the cards.sitting on the bump stops ( no springs)

Just s few shots I thought interesting
No springs , no shocks, sitting on bump stops and the trailing arm is horizontal with only the slightest amount of load on the bushes, one would think they could have angled the mount further.
    But I’m no engineer.

Tray sides , alloys, tyres with tread that don’t stick out too far.

I picked up a d1 auto shifter, then to make a surround for it.

I thought a template of cardboard might do the trick, so I had to buy a cardboard box, luckily it came full of V8 county ute

    Find the right radius
    Transfer to the $50 template

Cut down the sides and Ta da
Some 2 mm ally might fit the bill for the real deal.
