I have a few products that will be made & fitted to my 90 before next winter.
Like the RTT our 270deg pole less awning with a twist is designed specific for a Defender 90 rather than a 110.

We have finalised the design of our shower in a bag & will be off to my CAD man shortly.

    Cheers
    Dave

Just completed testing on the high tech air bed for our RTT.

The manufacturer tells me it is indestructible. So far we have tried it on dirt, gravel & grass with no ill affect on the bed, we have even used it in water!
We have in the past used & tried different types & density foams for our bed and never been happy or got very good nights sleep. We have also tried air beds & it does not matter how much we have spent on them they develop air leaks in very short time.
So far my wife is very happy and impressed with this bed. Which we all know if the lady is happy, camping is a great experience.

The bed is 1300 x 2030 x 75 for our prototype RTT but if we go to market it will be sold in 2 piece so each person can custom set their bed pressure to get the best night sleep.

Im very excited about this product alone.
    Photos coming

    Cheers
    Dave

I'm keen to know more about that - could be something I would be very interested in.
The current 'self inflating' double bed thing I have is bloody difficult to get rolled up again.
    Very bloody difficult.

    Vlad,

These mats are not cheap when compared to your standard type. They are also streets ahead of whats available in an air bed.
For what i was looking for they hit the target & do an awesome job & I'm just going to make the $'s work on this project.
You can PM on this subject.

    Cheers

RTT just got delivered by the painter.

Very happy with the colour (Galway Green) to match our 90.
Now the fitting out, ready for the trip to the canvas guy.

I will post some images when the sun is out.

    Cheers

Made a start on painting the underside of the roof with black satin also started the roof insulation
The insulation on both the roof and base is 30mm XPS board.
This stuff is very easy to work, cuts with a saw or stanley knife.
The only thing when bonding, a good quality water based glue must be used, i used a Sika brand Fast Nails.

    More deliveries today.

The LED strip lighting arrived, very nice.
Now to cut to size then powder coat black.

Im going to route the extrusion into the insulation so the wings sit flush with the insulation.
Once the insulation is covered with the black material lining ill glue the extrusion in place & the wings on the extrusion will cover the cut edge of the material lining, making it all look nice & neat. There will be a load of light from 6m's go strip LED but it can be dimmed down when required if need be.

    Cheers
