I guess you're lucky you got the gas strut calculations correct. You could have launched her into the stratosphere.

    Toxic,

I had no idea that gas struts is a real science.
Spent about 1.5 hours on the phone to the tech guy on the struts.
Side Gullwing doors are & the like are a simple calc but the hard shell is a completely different game.

    Cheers

A mate messed up, and put some over-powered struts on his rear door on a landcruiser.
I've almost given myself an uppercut with it on numerous occasions.

In image 5 you are seeing the insulation filling the hollows.
When the roof comes back from the canvas man i will fit black carpet over the whole floor area.

I hope that explains the floor section.

Thanks Dave, that explains it nicely. You're doing an excellent job too.

This is the latest images from the canvas guy.
I have not seen the RTT in person yet & that will not happen until Friday when i pick it up.
We are using the all new Nugget designed pole system on the entry awning.

Now some time to fit to the legs & fitted out.

    Cheers

The tent is in my shed now.

We have set it up to air it out as the new canvas stinks which they say will dissipate in time.
Once I'm comfortable with the smell ill get inside & complete the works. The wiring, the control panel & LED lighting.
I still have to do the side awning bows & stop blocks.

Im very happy with how its all sits set up. Its bright so we should not lose in the desert!
I cannot fit it to the truck yet as i had to redesign the legs for it after i wanted to add a table slide into the legs. That will now happen in the new year.

    Cheers

We are making slow progress with the roof top tent. Had to make a change to the full length legs that attache the RTT to the gutter. The leg on the drivers side will now have a slot in it to accommodate the camp table like our last roof rack. So I'm hoping we can do a test fit this week then the new bits can go to the powder coaters. Got a few little things to fit now

    Cheers
