2 should be plenty for normal use. I run the same batteries and know how heavy they are. I’m going to make a battery box big enough for 4 for the Viscount but start with 2. At 35Kg each an extra 150Kg of batteries and battery box isn’t very appealing.

When we go to Corrowa well see how it goes. We will be driving most days between there and Cooma with a short stop in a Caravan park with our girls. We have a powered site in Cooma. Also we have the extra battery in the 130. It will tell when we camp for a few days off the grid in free camps as that is our eventual goal. BTW we have 2 63 ltr water tanks and a 53 ltr grey water tank so free camping in "Contained Vehicles Only" we will be fine, If you haven't thought of it maybe do the same.

Love the kitchen overlooking the windows,,

Yes, you only need a small grey tank,, unless you are staying a week
    its a great add on.

The whole van is light and airy which is what I wanted, heeps of windows which more modern vans don't have.

addit: didn't you say originally that my kitchen looked "odd/didn't work" or was that weeds?

not me,, Diane has already put her ideas into the next one,, ( I said no to the butchers block on wheels--)
only 3 gas burners, a gas grill/oven and BENCH SPACE,, twice as big as the stove top,,, not necessarily on the same side/area,,

NO modern van has ANY bench space,, maybe that because modern vans have fridges that dont work so theres no food to prepare,,
ooop! did I say that out loud??

I think I will be happy with my bench space. It is about as big as our camper and I have never had a problem with that. We will have a drop down table in front of the bench seat. And I can always bring a extra table in as there is enough room.

    Take this advice as intended

    5-3

ratio of solar W to battery/AH

at some stage you will add panels,,

    just store it away,,

as for your front bench space,, I reckon thats a good one and a half

No room for extra panels but "Springers" has allowed for this and we have a remote panel we can move around
