This carrier started life as one for a JK Jeep that required loads of changes to make it work on the 90.
I had to cut loads of metal from the main pivot bracket & add a stiffening plate so I could mount it on the rear crossmember.
That bracket had to be shimmed to get the main arm to sit in the vertical position.
The bracket that mounts on the door, I was hoping it would just bolt into the old carrier holes but no luck. I had to weld that bracket to a piece of 6mm plate that allowed the holes to be used. Now to get the pivot joints to work the door bracket had to be moved as close as posable to the door latch. The rose joints that are mounted on the main arm & the door bracket had to be adjusted or more extended, that required some 1/2inch fine pitch threaded rod to be welded to the 1/2inch left hand threaded bolt to get it all to work correctly.
Before I started this the you could stick your pointing finger in the gap between the door & the door seal anywhere above the latch, the weight of the tyre was creating all types of problems. Now the door seals correctly & there are no gaps.
Now there is loads of room to access the rear door latch.
