I would be inclined to put a cleat across where you have the rope to provide a positive stop you can feel when driving on to make it easier. Possibly even a second,(lower?) one you drive over to chock the vehicle in place.

Do they skid out when on a smooth concrete floor?
As in as the tyre tries to climb the ramp one or more skid forward ?
On grass as you depict obviously no problems

I often use my recovery boards as "Ramps" to get under the D2a or even just to level up the caravan if needed.

They're fine on ordinary driveway or patio-type paving.
On a smooth concrete floor, such as in a garage for those lucky enough to have one, they might well slip when you try to drive onto them. If this occurred with me, I think I would try gluing that non-slip rubbery mesh (as used in kitchen drawers) on the bottom surface, and seeing if that prevented it. If so, then something similar but perhaps more durable would be worth finding.
In any situation, driving slowly onto them would be best, and this is where Low Range helps.
Of course, "ramps" of this design could be made as long as anyone else liked.
I have no trouble telling when I'm up onto them, and I was keen to minimize weight and the space that they occupy when not in use.

good plan, I've done similar myself in the past.
dont worry about the wood slipping if you use it under a disco, lock the CDL before you drive up and as all wheels drive all will climb unless the ground is uneven in which case you shouldn't be doing that anyway.
You dont need much of an endstop to let you know you've got to the end once you're up on the top a piece of 25x25mm will do the job
