My second battery is N70Z which if I remember is about the size you quote for the Pro 600 but smaller than standard Defender battery. Sorry can't do better than that at the moment as vehicle is 1400 k's away.
I bought a CP882MF from Comet today. It's a 95 AH deep cycle. I'll do some photos once I have it strapped in. :)
Here’s X-Box's batteries inplace before being wired up, so you can how much room there is.

Here is my install. :)
Sorry Captain, that’s just not good enough.
Take it for a drive and get it dirty, THEN it will look like a genuine fenda
Cheers
Does anyone have pics of a Pirhana Battery Tray fitted to a D2? I bought one with the advice that it would fit existing bolts up against the firewall (passenger side) - can only find 1 of the 5 supposed bolts.
Any help would be great. :)
recently installed - not yet connected as I need a good earth strap to connect the 2 batteries.
My -ve lead came through the side of the seatbox which was a bit tight on the battery,

so I moved it to enter the seatbox from the rear

Installed the dual battery controller

Temporary batteries - will be installing Red and Yellow Optimas in the opposite directions

If you're going to go that route, it's obviously not a cost sensitive install, so you might like to have a look at the Scorpion Racing dual battery tray - fits very neatly with that style of battery, and I think the Optimas have the holes through them for mounting the same as the Exides do?

Have fitted now...all good! Attachment 5628
Hi All,
I have just installed one of traxides SC80 controllers, with a 100ah Aux battery, a fitting for charging of the camper trailer via 50a Anderson plug at the rear and a temporary 2nd Aux battery in the Defender. I have a spare 100ah Lifeline sitting around, so for extended trips i can have plenty of reserve to keep the beer cold and run all of the extras.
It was pretty easy in the end, but given the time i had i thought i would do it right... once. I now have the perfect setup for what i wanted, with good wiring and secure fittings. Happy! :D
