Ok... someone get me a big jar of vasoline... I need to have a go at this.

I'm impressed by your setup Numpty. Did you try and put the factory battery in running across the compartment at all? Would I be right in saying it would be too high for the compartment even if it did fit across?

This is seriously interesting to me. I'm after a setup like yours as I want to keep the factory battery for a bit longer as it's not two years old and is going strong.

Can anyone recommend a battery supplier northside Brisbane? I see supercharge is at willawong which is a 2 hour round trip for me. I'd like one with a few batteries so I can try some for fit.

I was going to try the batteries the other way, but thought the original was too high. I spoke to Warren at M.R. Automotive and went and looked at his 130 and that's the way they were in his, so naturally that's what I did. Was easy, the second one which is an N70Z is a neat fit. BTW, I got the Supercharge battery through work, but they do deliver all over the SE Qld region.

Personally, I wouldn't fit any other system as it's simple and foolproof, despite the naysayers.

The top is how mine is set up now. The bottom is before.
In the top the RH is the main DIN85L ACC 600
and the RH is a DC 31

Hi easo, just go back and edit your first post but before you submit it, use the preview button and keep trying till it looks correct, then submit it.

    Can be frustrating at times.

    Cheers

    DB before.jpg
Hope this works. This should be the before pic. pretty messy but workable the RH batt died
    DB after.jpg
As explained before now the RH is the main and the LH is the Aux.
The main is a din 85l ACC 600 from battery world. The Aux is a DC 31 amp hr (20)hr 100 amps thats whats writen on it anyway. some where in there is a parrana system. The LH batt is a biggy its 34cm long, 17 wide and 23 high. Hight includes the treminals. Its on the left as the battery well is deeper there. The terminals just clear the lid with enought room for a sheet of rubber.

What size are you guys fitting???
    NS70??

I was in Century batteries yesterday as they are one of my clients and i was asking about prices.

I'm looking at fitting 2 Century Marine Pro 500 in Grommet. physical size is 258x172x232. or i'll try to squeze the Pro 600 in, 305x172x232

    Prices...... well below Trade

Will do some measurments and go from there.
Grommet has a new battery, which might be 2 big for my needs, but will wait and see.
