    trashed body

    Hi all,

hope someone out there might be able to point me in the right direction.

Sadly I rolled my 89 rangie. Now out of rego too.

    Mechanicals and chasssis a1 but body no good. Considering several options;

Get a rangie with stuffed mechanicals and replace body or drivetrain (probably easier)

Kit car like a bush rangie.... Hear you can't buy in Oz anymore because of compliance rules...???

Really keen to convert to a ute.... Open to putting diifferent body to a rangie on the chassis...

Anyone been there done that? Got a bright idea? Blue prints for a conversion...

BTW... I live in Tassie and need to be roadworthy at the end of the project...

    Regards

    Marty

How about getting another Range Rover. They're cheap as chips at the moment.
Then, while you have the 2nd RR to use, you can convert your old one to the ute that you've wanted.
Is the old body going to be suitable for a ute conversion or would you start with a 2 door shell ?

After the ute is done, then you can sell the 2nd RR or keep it.

A couple of guys on Outerlimits are in the process of converting a car to a ute - here is the link. The project has just started this week and they have pics of progress etc - may be of some help.

I always wanted to change out the body on a RR to that of a 'yota PURELY because I wanted yota owners to go "ha ha see how good those toyotas go, way better than crappy landies".

Then I'd point out a few home truths....
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

There was a Rangie body on E-bay for $100 down in Melbourne.

    Try contacting the seller.
