Removal of Radio vent in Disco II

I am in the process of fitting a dashboard pod that bought from www.consoles.com

Looks great had a speaker fitted plus my Yaesu radio fits in the hole they made for me.

I already had my GPS in the position of where the pod should go, so that was removed after I had the Alpine CD player removed to access teh screws that held it in place.

Now I need to remove the vent cover for the radio / CD player and really getting frustrated as the clips holding it in place are almost impossible to remove without breaking a bit of the plastic of the vent cover, (which I have done twice, so stopped for now)

The explanation of how to do this from consoles.com is not very clear

Has anyone found an easy way of removing this piece of plastic?

Know way around it, i broke mine doing it, i took the pod off because i didn't like it.

I got a smaller UHF and mounted it in the roof console.

When I fitted my pod, I used a small screwdriver and went in through the radio hole in the dash and slowly eased the clips with the screwdriver, worked for me, it was a bit fiddly and time consuming but I didn't break anything
