Things must be done differently in QLD.
DOn't you need to get an engineers cert. for all the mods you are doing. ie. swapping chasis and driveline?
Only only ask this because if you used and engineer then you could get much larger tyres certified and you could get whatever lift you wanted such as 2" spring and 2" body
Yes i have to go through a engineer, Qld tpt is calling it a ICV (individually construced vehicle) and yes i could have asked to have a 2" spring and 2" body lift as well as larger tyres(not) as i have to use the same size tyres that the chassis was put out with. in Qld we can only go 15mm over the largest size on the placard for each vehicle, (and before anyone says anything to differ i have it in writing from the Qld Tpt department, you might be able to have 2" tyres put on your car by a tyre shop but legally its illegal)

NCOP at this stage WILL NOT :rulez: be adopped by the Qld Transpost department. :(
Tyres are the same at the moment 15mm above compliance plate i.e.
RR 89 has two tyre sizes 205R16 + 215/75/16 ,205R = 205/80/16
working on the 15mm rule you get the following:
215/75/16 = 728.9mm + 15mm = 743.9mm convert this to inches = 29.28"
205R 16 = 734.4mm = 15mm = 749.4mm convet to inches = 29.5"
and a 245/70/16 = 734.5mm + 15 = 749.4mm converted to inches = 29.5"
245/75/16 = 773.9mm a no go tyre :(
so the largest tyre yo can stick on a 89 RR is a 245/70/16 or a 29x 91/5"
