Yes they should be the same solenoids as the control box was the same unit on the M8000 and XD9000.

Hi i have the same winch part number according to Bruce at Ateco it is of about 1989 vintage and some parts are intechangable from current models I believe it run a 2 something hp motor I am in the process of saving up to by a new 6hp motor she'll pull like a champ then. I rebuilt mine a couple of months ago now not as bad as yours but she works a treat.

Well I rebuilt it again today after it wouldn't work on me the other day

Towing 2 ton of wood up a hill climb, got halfway up and Landy didn't have the grip

Pulled it all apart and found the windings rusted to the armeture and one of the brushes seized into the housings

All good now after a bit of wire brushing

Interesting tip No. 403: The bearing from the fan belt tensioner of a 300 Tdi is the same as that fitted to an M8000 Warn winch motor

    Warn m8000

New member, hi all, digging up this thread in the hope somebody may be able to help.

I have a warn winch I am unable to identify. But looks the same and it has the same drive coupler as the pics of the op's thread.

My winch doesn't have the same brake set up as the newer winches and for the life of me I can't work out how to disassemble or from the drum.

I'm hoping the op's is the same or someone here might know and be able to point me in the right direction.

    Many thanks,
    Dave
