what i did was similar to the LR OE but not automated

i had coil bags with 2 LPG lock off switches one to let air in and one to let air out with an in cab switch and gauge. Wasn't automated but it was all in cab and a press of a switch. Parts
2x lock off switches
6mm or plastic tube 10 mtrs to be safe
push lock connectors
set of coil bags
psi guage
few relays and some wire
few hours in the shed

I am going to set this back up with the alloy tray due to the huge difference in load carrying coil v's nothing in the back coils

Also if you are going to buy coil bags you can get the Firestone ones direct from the US much cheap so shop around and then you might want the 2" lift bags or you can buy the rubber spaces from polyair

When you say that you used coil bags, are you talking about proper air spring (OE sls) only system, or a coil spring and polly-bag type set up?

Depending on the cost of a sls ecu, I may well end up designing my own system. I was thinking today maybe a couple of timers, or even a small plc.......

I was told today that the sls ecu may talk to the main ecu ( ie sls is off when doors are open etc etc) having said that, the main ecu may have to be configured to tell it that the vehicle has sls. Does any one know/ have access to the logic of the system? P/M me if needed.

I have the Firestone Coil bags not sls bags as such.

FYI when i have factory airbags in my 93 rangie it did talk to the the main ecu as it new what speed i was doing to lower itself when the doors were open and even when it was in park with the hand brake on. I would think that a custom system would be cheaper and easier to install

I've bought some new shoes. 6 of them. 267-75-16. Very nice.:) As you can see the front is a little sagged from the ARB winch bar.

Tested the flex, all stock suspention, Just to make sure that the rear wheels didn't rub, all good.:) Theres about 18" under that back wheel.

I've got my tray basicaly tacked up except for the hurdle. I'll make it out of 3" stainless, that way i can use mandrel bends.

Rough measurements are 7' by 6'. The rear wheels sit in the middle. The main thing is that the OZTent fits.

Here are some pics for Stirlsilver, this is what I done for the corners on the roof. The sections came from the rear of the disco, and seem to blend very well.

Nice job mate mate my mum has a 01 D2 from dads old Landie dealership i like the idea of meeting the 9" angle grinder with the side of it but not for a while mums getting a TD4.e freelander manual so i'll get the D2 TD5 manual to truckerise maybe a few more years its still the major tow car (we have 2800 kg veteran cars and only this'll pull em)

We have body filler on the roof, and things are starting to go into etch primer. Its all systems go out in the shed. I'll post pics when I can.
