Not sure what to do, I'll go into ServiceTas sometime next week and see if its possible to get a Slimline then trim the ends off a bit and it might fit on the other side. Trouble is I just read on the net that the Slimline is supposed to go on the front and the big one on the back :(

Your not carrying a wheel on the back! would you really need to open the door more than 90 degrees?

The other thing to do is have metal welded in that widens it in just that section...so to explain it it would look like you have framed the plate.

The door still swings back just past 90 degrees and would knock on the ladder. Taking my nice powdercoating off with it :o

Are you talking about widening the number plate itself?

Can I legally mount the number plate on the door? Maybe I'll do that once it's been powdercoated. Don't think I'll ever have a rear wheel carrier, we have hills in Tassie and spare tyres weigh a bit :p

As far as I'm aware the rear number plate must be visable and have a light over it.

My old series was on the tail gate of the ute with the light above it and I never got pulled over
