Sounds like a good idea. You should ensure that the drag link is the same length as it to minimise the effects of bumps on steering.

Where are the flares from? How flexible are they?
Thanks Ben, they are imports from the uk, they are not as soft as the origionals as they are thicker plastic, but still flex.
I built a cover for the RHS along the base of the headboard. This is a good storage spot for the poles that will be used for the side awnings (more on those later)....

Also, I needed to build some ladders to access the racks. Building a pair of straight ones would have been easy and simple. But they would not have looked right, so i got a bit fancy.

Increasing the tyre size to get a lift should not have any impact on moving the axle sideways due to swinging of the panhard rod.
