An old post, I know, but you know how you stumble over these things.
Logo puddle lights are very fancy, but do they light up the puddle?
I fitted my Disco with LED strips mounted along the chassis. They are wired to the interior light, so they come on either when you unlock or when you open the door.
They show any uneven terrain, and ......... puddles!
On the same circuit I also installed a LED light that points at the ignition switch.

I picked up the interior light circuit at the old ignition switch light (ring around the keyhole), and ran it to the location of the headlight tilt adjuster (not fitted) where I fitted a led light that pointed at the keyhole. The first one of these was made up from bits, but it failed. I replaced it with a led number plate light sourced from Ebay. This is a small black plastic cylinder about 20mm long with a led pointing out one side. At one end is a 6mm stud with a wire down the middle. This goes in the hole in the headlight adjuster section.
The circuit then goes to the fuse box where it is connected to the load side of the fuse holder for the air suspension compressor (also not fitted). I didn't want to drill any holes in the body ( I used a similar subterfuge when I completely duplicated the headlight wiring loom, using heavier wire and using the existing wiring as a control circuit to supply all the headlights through relays).
The circuit is picked up at the suspension compressor location on the chassis and runs to the puddle lights. These consist of adhesive-backed strips of led lights about 1.5 m long, stuck to lengths of 10 x 25 aluminium angle which are mounted to to the chassis on either side.
I am glad to hear that the logo lights are effective in lighting the ground, as they are such a neat idea.
