How prophetic that statement turned out to be

I'm more inclined to ask some questions...

Q: What's the first sign of madness?
A: more than ONE Land rover in the driveway.

Q: What's the definition of insanity?
A: More than TWO in the driveway
the same could be said for Mercs as well (and I would love to have a W126 SEL in my driveway)

You only have to own one Mercedes to be declared insane.

I had a 560SEL some years ago. Sublime car. Long interstate trips or trips up to Cairns were simply effortless. Probably the most underrated saloon car ever made.

But owning an SL means you're not simply insane, but you're also a sucker for punishment.

Don't get me started about the 16v.

Built a workshop for a customer with a 560SEL and he mentioned that the front AND back seats were powered. I had a sit in it inside the shed and it was so comfy so I would imagine it would be a superb touring car.

Yeah, the 560's got a reclining rear seat as standard and footrests - front seats were fully adjustable electric with 2 memory settings and optional heating.

You can easily fall asleep in the passengers seat or in the rear. I did on several occasions.

Once you've owned a 560, you're spoiled. Nothing else will ever come close.

Don't get me wrong, the RRC is a comfortable seat too, but it's got nothing on the big Benz.

I think one of these would probably come close comfort wise

It's like a lounge suite fitted to a car

or even one of these is good.
