    Returning to the fold?

    Hey all.
    Long time no see.

After a long time without a (driveable) landy, it looks like we might be returning to the fold.

Missus wants to "upgrade" from the camper trailer to a van of some sort, and the Santa-Fe tow limit will be cutting things a bit fine.
With the covid-tax on most secondhand vehicles, and the increasingly stupid prices on new vehicles, we're casting our eyes over the selection of Rangies available.

Was initially looking at late model (99-02) P38's, but the funds can stretch to some of the L322's on offer.

Had a couple of P38s in my sights. A '99 HSE with a tophat Thor, stroked to 5.0 and chipped, and another '99 HSE with the 4 pin front.
The only thing putting me off are the other gremlins associated with the 38's

Then came along an '06 L322, 4.2 supercharged. about 30% more expensive than the P38's, but appears to be a much nicer car.
She's got about 200k on the clock, and should be an improved unit with the Ford takeover.

Anything in particular to look out for?

    Cheers.

Love my P38 but would have a L322 in a heartbeat. Gearboxes seem to get a regular mention with the 322. A mate has an early (BMW motor) one and had some issues with the ignition and steering lock system.
