A Auto is much kinder to the drive train ... As with manuals there is a tendency for the power to slam the gears & shafts as you are moving the clutch in & out as you are selecting gearsQuote:

Then how will you dump the clutch to barbecue all fours? :twisted: In terms of the longevity of the drive train and g/box i'd say it depends on how kind you are with the clutch... Of course if you're dumping it to smoke the bags well...:angel: my 89 still goes well with the orig 5 spd in it and its done about 500000 i am very gentle with the clutch though.Quote:

That was a personal favourite of mine with stock gearing and 37" rubber. Could do 80ks easily in low range, used to laugh my tits off a lot :DQuote:

Had this guy buggered how we got the jump on him all the time then dropped back. He even had his foot on the skids and torqued it up to try and make a break. He must have realised latter on I was in low range.
