We bought a 2001 Freelander TD4 5-door today - a great little (not so little really) car and that steptronic auto transmission is quite nimble.
This will be my better-'alfs primary mode of transport and I've already been warned off fiddling with it ... so tonight, while changing the interior bulbs over to LED units I noticed that the front interior light unit looks exactly the same as the one in a P38A Rangie, and the rear one is the same as the rear-side units in the P38A, and the one in the boot... you guessed it.
I'm sure the similarity/swap-ability doesn't end there... wheel cap centres, front/rear badges etc. I'm sure the PCD of the 5-stud wheels is different... I'd like to see the Freelander try on the 33" muddies from my Rangie, or even the 225/75R15 Mickey Thompson Baja MTX from my Zook
Cheers, Paul.

There are also 2 different types of front interior lights in the p38, they look the same from underneath and are interchangable though. The later type were re-designed to not melt the solder in the joints.
Keep it at that paul, the less freelander parts that fit a rangie, the less that will go wrong.
