I normally don’t stop and help those bogged on the beach.
Given it was a Monday morning and pretty quite I gave it a second thought.
One van was bogged trying to get off the beach and at this stage two vans were waiting to get on the beach....guy on the beach gave up on the his treds and agreed to a winch off the van waiting to get onto the beach.
Keep in mind this was close enough to high tide on Teewah Beach.
I continued on and to up.....finished airing up and thought the van stuck should be off the beach now and be airing up with me. I turned around and went back to have a look, old mates winch didn’t work and he was now bogged getting onto the beach and the other guy back to using treds.
I offered a hand and they all said yes please.
Ran back to the car, fitted the stauns and started reversing down the track while lowering the tyres to save time as the cutting was blocked....olde mate in the F Truck with camper that wasn’t bogged dropped me and said I had two leaking tyres.
He was amazed that I was deflating while backing up to recover the first van.
By the time we were hooked up tyres we deflated and recover done.
He was still scratching his head while I hooked up to his mates car. Helps if one engages CDL, worked it out after I nearly bogged myself twice. He said it’s the first thing he is going to buy when he gets home.
I rate the good old staun tyre deflators.......I still reckon it’s better than the latest must have deflator where they remove the valve.
