    Only half tongue in cheek, so this 'pimp in a purple sport coat' who is so enamored with 'luxury consumerism' (as per the article) is responsible for the disaster that was the 'new Defender' design and so now is being rewarded for it by taking this design approach across the entire line and all brands? The roots of Land Rover, if they weren't already dead, may have just been poisoned with all the article implies. Happy to keep my County and Perenties and supplement with Ranger, Bronco, Toyota, Grenadier or Jeep as needed until things (if things) swing back.

    Hoping there would be more basic offroader, ute and ag vehicles; reality sets in on this however and hope is dashed both by what we've seen coming out of the company as well as the implications within the article.

    yes, McGovern knows where his markets lie, and Australia isn't one of those places.

    vast distances to be covered and untamed roads aren't really in his vocabulary.
