The radiator panels are completely interchangeable, so this is not a good indicator of the model!

This an 86 front panel - see the extra air holes at the bottom behind the upside down T grill.
Also I don't believe that series 1s had that horizontal front panel in front of the radiator panel between the chassis rails. Maybe the lot has come off a series 2

can yous read the engine number,it looks like 568750 so can that tell you what model or yr this engine is
I do not think that is the engine number as that number is cast into the casting - maybe a part number.Quote:

Engine numbers are usually stamped into the block. I know where they are on a 2 litre engine but not a 2.25.

yes i thought they were on the side of the block but i wasnt sure i have not had much to do with these motors
Go to your first photo, just below the front edge of the exhaust manifold, on the sloping bit, just behind the join to the timing case.Quote:
