Thanks for the photos Scallops - I can see how mine's going to look in a few days time. They give it a "quaint" old look

I'll post up some more photos next weekend after they get swapped.

I too believe that 600's are a little small for anything but an 80". I have sourced some 650's (which were an option) which will be going on my 88".

I currently run 205's, which while technically too wide for the 5" rims, do make it ride nicely. These, incidentally, are near enough the same rolling diameter as 650's.

Yeah - I sorta wish I'd been able to track down some 6.50s, but I came across these 6.00s.

Can I ask what money you paid for your 6.50s? I found some a year or so ago, but they were very expensive.

I dunno - I reckon the 6 X 16 looks absolutely perfect on a 86 - just look at easo's - perfect. And that's lucky for me I guess - cos that's what I've got. And you're right, Spud - they do give it that old timer look. Mine came with larger tyres - I can't remember the size - they were bigger than 650 - andt they rubbed at full lock.

    My 6 X 16s were $150.00 each - with tube, fitted. I'm happy.

PS - good to see the mudflaps too, easo!

Oh, they were all there when we got it in the late 80s. The front ones go up onto sheet metal that stops the mud getting under the fire wall and all over the foot pedal linkages.
