Thoughts please........... I've been offered this but need convincing :)
1951 rust free, engine / gearbox been rebuilt, all matching numbers. No idea what it might be worth.

Hi Gerry,
Apart from that front bumper which is totally not original, this looks to be a very nice '51 lights through the full grill. Wish I'd kept mine. I would be putting it back to full soft top which it most probably would have been. If the chassis & bulkhead is as good as the pictures suggest I would definitely go for it.
Just realised it has the wrong front wings, as side lights should be on the bulkhead, & no lights at all on the front wings. So not worth much!, but still worth a acquiring.
Looks good. Around 9k I think without knowing too much about it.
first go at putting pic on here so see how we go. this is my 53 80' i an restoring. just completed the fire wall which was quite bad.would like to see one finished, i am in stockton. are there any series 1 show s on any where around newcastle where i could go and look at them. mike mstroud2@bigpond.com 0423356250
Euro Day this Sunday @ Lambton park Elder street , I could have my 1955 86" there, a few other locals John T & Geoffery M both could have their 80" on display, their are quite a few S1 enthusiasts in the Valley, cheers Dennis

Does anyone know what year my Land Rover is from this photo??
Looks like it could be a 48 , 49 or 50 L/R 80" with the tractor lights behind the grill , Bit hard to see with the small photo but it looks like some one has cut the grill bars in front of the lights . Need the chassis no to identify the year. It may have a date stamp on top radiator tank or wheel rim centres.
Probably 1950. No fish plate chassis.(If you open the link you get a bigger picture).
