tools

I just hit a hurdle trying to remove my water pump. I cant even get the generator loose because I dont have the correct whitworth spanners. 13 mm is close but not good enough. Obviously I need to get a a good Whitworth ,BSF , AF, kit. A search found this thread but its a bit old thought I would revive it and see if anyone has seen any deals of late on new stuff. I am also chasing up Gumtree and ebay but mailing tools is expensive.

Try your local trash & treasure market, I've found a lot of Whitworth/BSF spanners in boxes of assorted tools.

Most good tool shops will order them in for you but because of lack of demand they tend to be a bit expensive.

Found what I need on Ebay and swoopped on them plus a bag of nuts and bolts.
