Seats have been recovered and I would not be surprised if the vehicle was restored previously back in the 80's or 90's it should not look this good. I also notice the front grill panel apears to be steel not aluminium. John B tells me some replica ones where made of steel.It was running 6 months ago before storage now has no battery needs a repair to the fuel pump (diaphram) and rear brake slave cylinders . I dont think it will need a complete restoration just a tidy up and repair mechanicaly.I cant believe my luck

I think there was a period when the front grille panels were made of steel, my '56 has a steel panel (you can tell by the surface rust....).

Glad the Series 1 is going to a good home for a fair price.
