it has to be a 52 or 53 because of the grill and it does not have the lights on the firewall. i dont know if there i any differences between 52 and 53 though
and as 862993 said it is,
3 Model year: 1953
6 Model: Land Rover, Series I, 80in, petrol
6 Body type: Completely knocked down (CKD)
6 Destination: Right-hand drive (RHD), export market
0791 Serial number
Hi Mrs hh, the two piece vent (one on either side) started in 1954 with the 86 inch models. The bulkhead was redesigned and the vents became part of this rather than the windscreen frame.
The single vents were an optional extra for the home market but became standard on Australian vehicles relatively early on thanks to our dry climate and dusty conditions.
Tony, another way to tell the difference between 1952/53 models from the outside is the way the door hinges to the bulkhead. In 53 they did away with the top loop of the bottom hinge support. Note the top "leg" of the hinge was also removed. You can just make it out in the picture of the vehicle from front on.
