Just spoke to the owner and he thinks it is a 1944 model. The chassis number is 16160371. He has (what he claims to be) the original engine in his shed. It is currently fitted with a 138 grey motor.

    Now, play nice

1944? That would be quite rare. Built 4 years before they started building them?

CALvin says 1951. Soooooo, they took 7 years to build it?

    Hi there all

I actually feel sorry for the guy as he has been pitched a story when he bought it originally - as he believes its rare.

I hope someone has told him the truth.

I don't suppose it is one of the Army trials vehicles is it?

    CONSPIRACY

Did the Wilkes brothers copy a top secret war machine and claim it as their own design?

Was this war machine placed on Earth by a UFO, sponsored by Monsanto, checked off and then denied by Putin?

Arthur, you may be onto something there. I suggest that everybody who's been posting on this thread lays low for a while. I've just been watching "Secret State: A Very British Coup" on the ABC this evening, and it has certainly been food for thought.

If "they" work out that certain individuals are onto their plot to fill the world with Land Rovers that came into being before they were made, drive up emissions and send the world spiraling into a global warming/cooling/warming/little-bit-cooler/ah-that's-just-right cycle and reap the profits of centuries of conflict our lives could be in danger.

Not to worry an Alfoil hat will help. At least it stops my fillings picking up alien radio transmissions.
