Series 1 Core plugs in brass?

I have a 58 Series 2 with the 2l in it. The core plug thread on the block on mine is non existent what would my options be? any thoughts?

Open out to a bigger size and find/make a plug to suit.

Problem will be the cost of a tap to cut a one-off thread. Do you know someone who has access to large BSP taps ? BSP plugs are available (not sure about brass in the bigger sizes though).

Thanks Colin, that's what I thought I would have to do. I will be rebuilding the engine next year so I will find an engine builder and talk to them, they should have some idea of options.

The big cup plugs are usually 1-15/16" or 50mm. Tomo, ask me about Kennons next time we're talking. They've been around since the 1950's doing that sort of stuff, some of it is getting a little rarer as time goes on though.
