Not sure what happened but got a burst of energy pushing on, sorry number sequence all wrong
1 p/side door handle/lock painted and bolted up
10 p/side rear panel OMG needs a lot of work to bring back to life
9 d/side rear panel ready for some lighting, need to decide which lights to purchase seems the defender ones are cheaper then the proper series ones
8 hand brake problem, the rubber purchased was for a S2 onwards which was $9, S1 were like $50 but does not fit, damn will need to find another
7 are these black rubber buffers standard on S1, i guess it cushions the seat tops i think or has this been added later on, should be easy to source if original at places like bunnings or clark rubber
6 p/side hinged to the door all done
5 thought might as well throw on the bonnet, as it was already painted and seating around
4 bonnet stay cleaned and painted in black
3 another door lock painted black
2 door lock unpainted but cleaned

seat top rubber update
1 went to bunnings and purchased 4x rubber stoppers for the top section of the seat backs, $1.40 each comparison with the old, pretty close, why is there none in the middle seat section???
2 rubbers fitted, ripped this gal capping off another panel i had and fitted with rivets, did even clean this one up was good as is, in its raw state
3 to the left of the rubbers p/side are two larger holes for the seat tops im guessing but why is it not centred to the seat
4 d/side same again to the right of the rubbers again not centred, can someone please explain this to me

p/side mudguard
not much achieved this week other then retracting a p/side guard to see what i had and this one was the best but is missing outside panel which i prob have but will need to dig out. only prob is the warp in the top panel
1-2 shows overall cond of the guard
3-4 shows the warping on the panel which will need sorting out
-
Wish my guards were that good when I started. Should be easier to fix once side is bolted on.

Mudguard update
1-2 other mudguard i was able to find and dig out. the outer panel is not too bad and need to remove of the guard and the bracket which holds the bonnet stay/arm. this is the best i have for the p/side guard and will need to get stuck into it by first removing the rusted nuts/bolts and then morphing the two panels into one good mudguard suitable for use

guard update
1 removed 3 item from the guard, bonnet lock, bonnet stay and guard supporting arm to chassis
2 guard removed with all sorts of old paint on her, in desperate need of cleaning
3 out with angle grinder and a quick clean up to see the panel in its glory
4 underside of the guard which i will paint matt black once cleaned up
5 guard with outer panel bolted temp into place with two bolts, needs some adjusting to make it fit better, so this is the outer panel with the previous better guard morphed into one

more paint
continued with lick of paint on side panel, pic1 unpainted, pic2 painted waiting to dry before painting the front panel, unsure whether to incorporate a blinker with the front headlights or just leave the one park light per side, if i ever get her to rego will prob require a indicator/blinker/amber light of some sort.
