Qld. started with NAA in July 1955. I had a Mk.1 Zephyr first registered in December 1955 that was NBG. Some of the cars I owned and can recall the numbers were Q321-770 1940, Q538-268 1951, Q592-??? 1952, Q684-??? 1955, NSU- 1964, NYG- 1966, PSE- 1971, OGC- 1973.
Commercial vehicles had to have signage on the driver's side of the registered owners name and location, tare weight and load in t-c-q. JD is correct this requirement was negated about 1960.

Here is a similar one I have on a series 2 guard I intend to use. It looks like the PO covered it over with a patch which preserved the script.
I thought the early ones were white writing on the plates attached to front & rear guards ,then went to yellow
I could be wrong but my 1950 80" was white writing & I had a later tailgate were the writing was yellow. Booth vehicles were from A&T.
Would my 1956 86in have had the LR logo in the tailgate too??

The original Land Rover sign on the guard was very likely yellow - the green there now is just the non-faded original paint of the guard. It was fairly common on Queensland assembled vehicles.
All of our registered farm trucks used to have the owners (company) name, property and tare weight painted on the front guards behind the wheel as per your original query.
I personally doubt that the Ringwood name is the Melbourne suburb as per an earlier response - the inverted commas suggest that it was a property name.
