About the only way in confirming the tub is genuine SW and then the vehicle is a SW, is that tubs were not drilled to take the bolt that holds the hoop clamps for the soft tops. Now while most SWB series 1s of the era were produced as soft tops, a hard top was an option and I am not sure whether these tubs were drilled. It is assumed these went down the production line as soft tops and then hardtops fitted so series 1s with hardtops would have these holes but not the station wagons. Who knows.
Unlike overseas auction houses that do providence checks, Shannons do not provide evidence of authenticity for any of their auctions. It is just a shame that LR did not keep records of chassis numbers for the SWB SWs.
Good luck to the new owner as irrespective of what it actually is it is a nice 86.
