Truck cabs are extremely common however a full hard top for a series 1 isn't common, I would be keeping the full hard top and just buy a ute cab from a 107 or 109 there the same unit.
I’m thinking of trying to swap my 86 inch wagon body for a Ute cab, dose that sound like a reasonable trade? The cab is fresh painted I. Le cream new rubbers tailgate needs work...usual cracks in cab and tailgate is complete but needs painting/adjusting etc.
That sound like a reasonable trade if I put it up in the wanteds?
Cheers mark

I would value a hardtop as close to twice the value of a Ute cab. Even though I prefer a Ute cab.
The hard tops are way to noisy , [wagon] I’m thinking Ute cab, no door tops no back window .plus there ugly , perhaps someone wants to swap lol
It’s going down hill at the moment and room in the carport is scarce

On my 80" I have hade no top , a full hard top , a full canvas tilt , another full hard top , a 1/2 cab hard top & now a 1/2 cab canvas tilt. I almost never fit the door tops , I find there is just as much water comed in with them on if not more blowing in through the gaps . The only reason to fit them is if it is extremely cold ( I have a heater)
I find it best to drive topless with windscreen down on the bonnet, the full hard tops are much too noisy & add a lot of weight & slow you down a lot. The full canvas tilt was OK but still a little noisy , the 1/2 cab tilt is good & I like the look of it as well.
That has been my experience with them .

The 1/2 cab tilt I bought from Craddocks pre the AU Gov putting there hand out for there bite of the apple . The full tile A mate gave it to me it wasn't as per factory but wasn't far off. It cost me nothing lasted about 5 years before it started to get holes in it , that is when I fitted the 1/2 cab hard top. it was so out of balance I couldn't get it on & off by my self so sold it & bought the 1/2 cab tilt. I had two full hard tops , I could remove & refit them my self but when I bought the second one I remembered why I had sold the 1st , the noise & slowness .![]()
I modified an exmoor 3 man hood for my 1955.....haven’t tryed it with the curved roof price and vertical door steel section.......the hooks need to be moved and the hood stick more an 80 inch than an 86 inch
Keeps the sun of but flaps a bit
It’s a work in progress lol

I only have one small carportso no collection of hoods for me....though I’ve got a plan to order the soft top cab and side plates for the cab hood section.
All I can afford lol
And the full hard top is unpleasantly noisy
