Good Evening.
Take one very bent and broke stator tube and top moldings. Bit of work and parts from www.charlesworthmoudings.co.uk And a few hrs Today.
Problem was getting the horn assembly off old unit, as it is riveted over. Decided to drill off and see what's underneath. Drilled out center and tapped a thread in the brass. Smallest I had was M3 0.5 and a matching screw. Fiber disk was brittle, and broke. May have been cracked so repaired with a treatment of super glue and some sanding.
Everything cleaned up. Bit of graphite powder for lub and reassembled with new parts.

Clark Rubber Tweed was online only.....So couldn't pick up Seat for for my 80 inch. Upholster said it would be better if I picked up some......Got home and took to a 6 inch single foam mattress, with a Electric Carving Knife. Tricky cutting in half to make seat backs and Bench seat bases. Still have to trims seats bases to 4 inches at the rear.

Well done! Lucky to find some repairable D lamps and a bucket of BA screws! The Horn/dip came up really well. The price seemed pretty good as well. You will have to call this 80 Lazarus, because slowly, but surely it's coming back from the dead. If you need the seat base drawings with dimensions, I have some stashed away somewhere. You need to source some really firm foam for the bases, most of it is way too soft and unsupportive. When lockdown is behind us, if you are passing by the Tamworth District, you are welcome to have a look at my rebuilt but unrestored '53 if you want to check out any details for yours. Mike, 5380.
Thanks Mike.
Well I have cheated a bit.......Most seat foam is far to hard.
I added a piece of thin Ply with 4 drain holes above the Hessian, so I can use softer foam.[bigwhistle]
Mystery spacer came from under Tub. Loose and only one ?
