    Hi.
Yes the panels are straight. Need RH door.
Rust in chassis is about a half less than Gilberts.
Fire wall steel nice and thick, so I can weld it with my inverter stick..

From memory it is on the top of the long side of the axel housings. Normally if the date on the radiator plate or any of the electrical parts is say 1/53 the vehicle was built approx 1 to 2 months after that date. I have a chart here some were that shows were all the stamps are , if I can find it I will post it.

Did not find it but the number should be stamped where the blue is marked on this photo. InkedS1 diff_LI.jpg I will keep looking for the flyer I used to send out to S1 owners when I was collecting vehicle details for the Qld Rover Club LR register. I have checked your number & it is not in the register. The club stopped collecting this info back in around 2000 when I left the club for a couple of years ,so I have not sent any of the forms out since then. The club used to send one of these sheets out to new members of Rover vehicles so they could locate the numbers on the respective parts, they no longer require that.
The idea of collecting this info was so if a vehicle was ever stolen they would send all the numbers to all the other AU Rover Clubs so if the parts were offered for sale they may be able to track who stole the vehicle.

    Good afternoon.
Took some pics of the steering box.
I believe top part is S1, shaft, housing and steering wheel.with a cross shaft welded across the bottom of the spline. It sits very high in the cab, and you can see the hightbit should sit at.
A rubber coupling bolted to a bottom steering box of unknown origin, ans fitted to a very rough bracket system.
    Any ideas.
    Thanks.

    Good Evening.
Rossco is missing the two oval plates.
One on the rear, LH side of the tub. The other holds the top of the grille panel ????
Being a 53 80inch CKD model, what would be written on the plate, below the LAND ROVER ????
Some have Rover Australia written below it. Seen a few different ones.
    What would be correct.
    Thanks.

Not sure if it's period correct, but my '51 (also CKD) has Birmingham, England.
