    Help needed 1956 2L

    Been asked by a friend & my 1595 cc block dose not have these holes . Dose anyone know what bolts on if anything drivers side of engine block were the 3 bolts are screwed in near the oil filter . Vehicle is a 1956 S1 2L.

    Nothing fitted there on mine. Difficult to get a photo in a dark shed (no power).

    Same here. Had a look at 3 spread bores on the floor in good light. Nothing fitted, holes full of dirt.

    I am thinking this engine was used in the Rover 60 & Looks like part of the air intake for the air filter bolted on there or engine mounts.

    I looked up info on the P4 60 engine , I wonder what benefit the Alum head had , may be better performance or fuel economy.
