    Brake repairs

Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier who may have a Girling master cylinder with a 1” bore?
In my 107, the brake set up has been modified, probably many moons ago, to have a S2 pedal and hydraulic master. I assume it has been this way for several decades, so I’m thinking the pedal must have functioned adequately. The master cylinder is seized and I can’t find a replacement in 1” anywhere.
The option is to re-sleeve, but that’s not cheap!!
Any suggestions of a supplier would be appreciated.

    G'day All,

Is your vehicle modified from Single to Dual circuit?. Boosted or un-boosted?. Original wheel cylinders and backing plates?. Maybe a master from another L/R model has been used?. Others will know!. Put up a few photo's.

Looked up my PBR parts catalogue if from another manufacturer. Have a look at Ford Falcon 1972-73 XA and XY. The master cylinder is 1" for drum/drum setup. Looks like most were Mastervac however, early drum/drum maybe unassisted. Also Ford Fairlane 73 to 82 all 1" master however, maybe Mastervac. Also Holden 69 to 81 all 1" master. Again maybe Mastervac.

Have a look at the pictures of what is available against what you have.

Rare Spares maybe a chance for older AU vehicles.

    Good luck
    Chris

Both these MCs use the same 1" piston and seals. Left Series 1 107/109 with 11" brakes, right Series 2. There are adapters available so you can use a S2 which are easier to come by, instead of a S1.
When I bought the one on the left as a spare a long tlme ago, it was more economical to buy the whole car For more information it's probably best to ask on the English LRSOC site. Of course you may
    already have a S2 fitted,
