Best way to install Wings without scratching the lovely new paint?
Hi all,
I now have the last of the panels for my 1953 s1 80" back from the painters.
I am a bit concerned about how to install the wings, and was hoping for some advice about how best to go about installing them, so that I don't scratch the lovely new paint finish.
Offering them up to the mounting holes in the A pillar seems the most logical starting point, but the inner thin panels that completes the engine bay side has to be lined up without being scratched by contact with the steering box & column, and by the end of the front shock mounts.
Is there a trick to do this, as I have to do this alone, as my long suffering wife is recovering from shoulder surgery.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
regards
Jeff in Perth, Western Australia.
