Series 1 LWB 2 door Hardtop??????????

howdy everyone, came across a weird one yesterday
spotted this vehicle on the way to work and have been meaning to stop in and have a look.
its a series 1 long wheel base 2 door station wagon.
it has a full length roof that looks original, but it doesnt have the alpine windows in it along the top sides ?
we got the chassis number and it actual identifies it as a series 2 1960 model chassis.... but the body is definitely a series one.
i havent got any pictures yet, but im going back this week end to have a better look. hopefully the owner wont mind if i take a couple of pictures
it has what looks to be a land rover 6 cylinder motor in it ? or some sort of rover motor anyways. It has an auto hooked up to it with a column shift set up. YIKES!!!!!! And the transfer lever has been moved to the right hand side of the drivers seat beside the door.
it looks so strange.......
has anyone heard of a 2 door panel type configuration in the series 1 107/109" wheel base ???? it has 2 windows either side of the hardtop, but its hard to tell if they were there originally or not
im pretty sure it'll be a 109", guessing that they have some how swapped it with a series 2 chassis.... i'll measure it when i go back
More will be revealed when we get the photos, does anyone have any ideas in the meantime?
