That is the trick alright and, if I had the rubber at that stage, I would have done just that. Would have saved heaps of measuring every - which - way :o
Righto - tomorrow its into the last of the painting in the cab. Behind the seats and the top rear section. Then the wheels will probably have to come off so I can take a look at the rims with the tyres off and make a decision :(
If things go ok with the rims I may just paint them myself; although I hear that there is a powder coater in town who does a good job on rims (at the right price) if I am prepared to wait :)
Painting is finished in the cab now and I touched up the rims whilst the paint was being thrown about. Might give it a rest for the day and let things dry:D
The rims will have to be dipped later on - maybe when I get around to some new tyres. ;)
Ive done it - the chassis is all painted :D Looking tidy now; pictures to follow as they do :p.
The tail lights are to be wired up this week and I need to touch up the paint around the rear of the Landy. I got a phone call this arvo and my canopy will be here this week which means I need to check on the progress of the bows :) But - The missus has just informed me that we shall be driving to Bairnsdale this weekend to catch up with family. This means no work for me on the ol ute at weeks end so I had better print off some photos to ensure I sicken them all with a thorough progress report whilst I drink their beer ;):wasntme:
And drink it you should, the best beer is the stuff someonelse has paid for, you have motorvated me slugger to get my finger out and keep on truckin, I spent most of today on her, ours will be on par condition wise I think, not show cars but drivable classics. You are going absolutely great guns
Mick - and thank god for that too mate as the front will look great whilst the back can wait. Should be able to confirm the dates by end of the week. Is there a pub near Watsonia? :D
