ok I will splat some white over the roof and squirt the screen frame with some new gal paint and see how she looks should be looking pretty good, then you realise I will have to paint a guard and then I cant stop a the guard I will have to paint the rim and tyre and take a side shot and see how she will really look.

Starting work on the dash panels now, was thinking I may have to make a second panel to hold some smiths guages but after find a late 2A wiper cover in the shed I have decided its ideal to hold the 3 guages and a couple of switches and if done right will look factory as its the same shape as the centre panel we are in for some real heat this week so leaving the 107 alone for a few days

Sounds like the way to go. Olmate has a ally panel cut out for four gauges and a few switches, its painted and everything but ... its still just 'square'. I think that the mil variants had a extra section for a couple of guages and a light, they look pretty good if you can find an example to copy.

The 2a wiper panel matches the original panel to a T, looks like it should be there, some fun with the hole saw and were done, I have seen the panel for mil use, they had a few different panels the fuel tank switch panel with the dual toggles was a slap affair, the black out switch panel I have seen few different variations, you see hour meters or oil guages, I wont rely on idiot lights to tell me whats happening, I have long used Smiths guages, they are getting hard to find now and go for primo dollar on Flea bay, I have done away with the horn and dip switch on the steering wheel, using a 2A wheel, have an early horn button on the arm that bolts to the column and will use a 2A blinker switch, am wiring in an iso switch so the power can be cut, Landys were always a joke on security
