Hello Chris,
I shouldn't imagine you will have a problem - your preparation would seem first class. :) I don't know what these inspections are like in Victoria, but here in God's country, we take our Series vehicles to "sympathetic" inspectors who understand the "special" characteristics of old Land Rovers. ;)
Maybe someone down there might point you in that direction - or do you have to go to the Government department to get it done in Vic?
G'day,
ok all went well as i mentioned in my "Laiden/Unladen weight" thread couple of weeks ago.
I got my engineers report & roadworthy the vehicle is booked in for inspection & rego this Thursday plus the weather is looking tops for the weekend too!
cant wait to go for a cruise........!
only had to make changes to the seatbelts and indicators.
cheers,
Chris
PS. i cant sleep:eek::eek::eek: im very excited for Thursday.....!
G'day all,
What can i say......:o the Landy is officially Registered........! :D Such a great sigh of relief. VicRoads loved the Vehicle, checked everything didnt give me a hard time, so no dramas there.
So much fun to finally drive the beast around cant wait till Sunday's RACV Classic Showcase at Flemington Racecourse!
Cheers,
Chris;)
Congratulations
Great work! Congratulations :D
Congratulations, Chris - and thanks for all the pics and posts throughout.
What'll we do now?
Another project??

Thanks, no worries mate. Im really happy with the outcome still cant believe its on the road and im actually driving it again 4 years later. Today i took it to my Brothers RC plane field and all of the people there Loved it......! Even on the road hehehe people slow down next to me and look at the Landy.....!
and earlier today i was at the the service station and i got told off for filling up in the Vehicle and the bloke just didnt get it.......... hahaha!:D
anyways yeah the next project is the 1950 80inch which i would probably start later in the year. At the moment just gona enjoy the new Ride and relax a bit.
heres a pic at the field and a short vid. Enjoy!
ill take plenty of photos tomorrow at the RACV classic showcase hopefully theres other Landys there on the day!
Cheers,
Chris;)

All you need is a clip or something to hold the plate on just after the "86" shaped in white to look like this ".
just enforces the inch thing!!!
