Help with VINs

I've seen them on uk ebay Troy - I'll see if I can find them.

Troy Yes you can get them with the number stamped from the LRSOC Club shop in the UK although you will need to be a member Land Rover Series One Club and as I usually say at this point the Legend mag is worth every penny of the subscription.

You can also get reproduction plates from Scotts Old Auto Rubber in Oakley, Melbourne. The best match for the late Series 1 is the Series 2 type http://www.scottsoldautorubber.com.au/CP368.jpg

Well news is a number was found on the LHS Rear spring hanger:

1237011 once again :(

Apparently it was hard to read, so I might have to have a closer look when I get a chance to see it and Ill let you know how I go :)

Well found it

I had a close squizz at the chassis and though I could make out a 4 after the numbers. Then I had a brainwave and checked the plate with the number stamped on it in the cab :p

It may be worth hanging on to that old rego sticker (what's left of it!) because it sounds like it was registered with an incomplete number.
It would be worth keeping the 'incomplete' number in case you are searching its history when registering it.
