    That means that the springs for the drivers side have more tension than the passenger side,(curvature) to compensate for the drivers weight and also the petrol tank.
    So dont get them mixed up or you will be very loppy loo loo.....
    and that is not becoming to a singleton master restorer,

    of course i knew that but maybe for those who dont are you saying whichever one is curved the most is the drivers side

    Hey there,
    This has been a marvellous thread and congratulations to you for all that you have achieved. You have every right to be very proud.
    Re the springs, a workshop manual will give the settings for each side - front and rear - I have a couple of original manuals here and can give you the spring settings if you need.
    Again, great work and well done. It is great to see you on the home stretch.

    thanks for the kind words and the offer but since i am at school i take full privialge of the printers and have printed over 700 pages of info including many manuals alot of photos will be coming up in the next 2 weeks
