Hi there LR053
Where about are you located........
Wayne
That is a great looking Landy you have there. Leaving the body virtually 'as is' was a great move & no-one will knock you back for that at all providing there's no sharp protrusions.
The only thing they might query is what colour it is - silver or green :p.
Congratulations on a top job :).
BTW, are you in Sydney? If so, can we see this fine specimen at the Expo next month?
Not true, that was not the intention of my posting.
My vehicle also had new seats and exhaust. One of the reasons that it was refused registration was the condition of the paintwork. This really annoyed me, considering there is a utility with the number plate resembling "RUSTEE 1" which is entered in the Bay To Birdwood Run every two years, which lives up to it's reputation. I wish that I would have been able to register my '49 with the body work looking like "as found condition", but with renewed mechanical and safety components.
Aaron.
Hi there Aaron
Club registration dosent require a condition of the paint work.....as long as it mechanically sound and original...Quote:

Unless its been defected in the past, which would require inspection.

Hi there
Hi there Diana........It would have to be excessive rust, eg holes in firewall etc.........Quote:
I think that they could knock it back on surface rust of the steel components even if it isn't invasive rust
All the best

Good one Alex, preservation is the name of the game.
