My wagon project

Hey. Here are some photo's of a few panels. I've started sanding back one of the front guards. There's a bit of filler in them, and a couple of layers of paint. It looks good though.

The rear door is a slightly different story. Someone has put the spare wheel holder from the bonnet and stuck it on the back door. The weight has put some strain on the aluminium and it's a bit bent and some work needs to be done on that. It's also missing the rear handle and lock assembly which is a bit of a bugger.

I bet you will really enjoy sanding back the bonnet?
you have to go around each and every rivet, every time you sand it back, each and every rivet.
It nearly sent me round the bend!;)
its a good job that you are going to use enamel paint, at least you dont have to buff it, as in using acrylic.
The ultimate would be 2 PAC and clear coats, but I dont know or have herd of anyone doing that to an old landie?
Anyway to do that the aluminium would have to be bead blasted , (stripped back to bare metal) and start again.
Is that in your master plan for the landie?
I think that you will enjoy every day of the adventure that you have now decisively embarked upon, so dont loose hope, one day it will be all your own work and a storey to tell your grandchildren ....:ohyes:

But no rivets :p
interesting roof , put some wooden sides on it and it becomes a tinnie. My guess a 4 HP Johnson would do.
