    First trip in the bush

    G'Day all.

Took Mary away for her first 4WD trip last weekend, 4 days in the high country. She went like a champion, I didn't put a spanner on her. We even had the pleasure of winching a land cruiser out of a river

    check out the pics!

Check out the below link(I can't get the video to up load?), he was stuck on a rock in the Goulburn River. We used the capstan winch 3 times over the trip, it's very quick, easy to use and surprisingly strong

    Excellent!

Love the last comment 'look at the water coming out the doors' - obviously not a landy owner!

    Hello from Brisbane.

Like others have said several times over - great photos.

I would genuinely encourage you to share them globally - submit them to Land Rover Monthly or Land Rover Owner International in the UK for publication in the their "Land Rovers out and about" columns. Simple as an email with attachment.

They give a monthly prize for first and second, which can be a bit subjective. However, from what I have seen winning of late any of those that you have posted here would be likely to be both published and probably win the month's prize - especially photos 2 and 3. You may need to crop them in a couple of instances to get the truck into the centre of the frame - photo 4.

If you don't already take those particular mags get your newsagent to order them in and see what is involved. The nice thing is that you don't need to be a professional photographer as the main thing is to get a Land Rover into a nice frame doing something interesting - especially somewhere outside the UK and in the scrub/bush/jungle.

For what it is worth, a fairly basic photo of a D2 at Carnarvon Gorge came second in the last issue of LROI.

    Cheers,
