Here we go again.

Seems as if someone has done a fair amount of work a fair few years back on this one. It has the stronger rear axle as far as I know and I think in the past it may have been a diesel. It may be a bitzer as far as parts go on it though.
The old Smiths heater is in pretty good condition, though it didn't get too warm driving it to work this morning.
The tray seems to sit very high on the vehicle has high sides as well.
What is the difference between a six cyl. bulkhead and the normal 2.25.

She looks much better with the orig. rims, pulled a little of the clutter off the front and started to check it out a bit more.
I also started to pull the old diesel down, doesn't look too bad, pistons look a little rough though.

Yep, she looks right with those wheels.

Well I picked up the other landy today (in the rain), a bit worse for wear than I thought, I only really want a few little bits off it, but it was part of the deal with the ute and I really don't want to see her scrapped..
Looks like it would have been a good one until farm usage and scavanging took their toll.
It came with a second good hard top though.

It looks as if you already have a bid on ebay, so at least it's going somewhere.

Tray height looks about normal to me - don't forget the tray has to clear the wheels at full spring deflection down on one side and up on the other. Height of sides is an individual choice. The tray may not have been specifically designed for the Landrover.

The six cylinder bulkhead has a much deeper bulge into the cab, and the gear levers are closer to the seat, so the floor panels are also different.

Did a bit of work on the steering, it's really nice to be able to drive in a straight line now. I guess nobody parks LWB landys in new shopping centres much though.

I recently removed the power steering system that had been fitted to my 109" S2a by a previous owner. I have now almost perfected the "turn in hauling on the steering wheel 1/2 past the parking spot, stop, reverse up while hauling on the steering wheel, stop, turn in hauling on the steering wheel, stop" ... and don't even think about backing it up to straighten it up!:D
Also, always look for angle parking.;)
